Why I Stopped Doing My Budget on Sundays

Image
Why I Stopped Doing My Budget on Sundays I used to do my budget on Sundays. I would make my coffee, sit down and look at everything — what we had spent, what was coming up, what needed to be paid. It seemed like a sensible time to do it. But slowly, I realized something. It was taking away a little bit of my Sunday. Sunday was supposed to be my slower day. There was no rush. There are days when everything feels like too much — the house, the meals, the endless small tasks that no one notices until they're not done. Why I Built a System For a long time, I didn't have a system. I had reactions. Something would pile up...

Then I realized — the home is also a company, and someone has to be the CFO. That someone is us. This is not a story of "how a housewife saved money." This is a story of how an educated woman applied systems thinking to home finances and made her money earn again. This post shares my personal experience and is not financial advice. Please read my Disclaimer . My 10-Page Monthly Finance Tracker — The system that helped me manage ₹5000/month My Wake-Up Call Did Not Come From Instagram. It Came From Business News. In my father's house, The Economic Times was daily. In my in-laws' house, CNBC Awaaz runs at 7 AM. For years, I heard it in the background. One morning, on CNBC Awaaz , I heard a business anchor say something like, "If you can't measure it, you can't grow it." That same week, I read a column in The Economic Times ...
